Individual Therapy for Adults

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by grief, struggling with low self-esteem, battling anxiety, or carrying the weight of trauma, please know you don’t have to face these challenges alone. Therapy is a safe, supportive space where you can be fully heard and understood without judgment.

Together, we’ll gently uncover your unique story and experiences, helping you discover inner resources you may not realize you have. You’ll learn practical tools to manage anxiety, process trauma, and build a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself. This journey is about supporting you every step of the way so you can move forward feeling more grounded, empowered, and hopeful.

Approaches Used

I typically meet clients where they are at in their stage of life and therapy.

For clients who are looking for structure, skills, and stability due to challenges with self-harm, suicidality, or impulsivity, my work focuses on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) interventions. DBT is ideal for clients who want change, but who do not feel safe enough to assess deep vulnerability. We will focus on learning and applying concrete tools to stay afloat until you build enough trust in yourself and me to safely integrate other therapy modalities.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is utilized for clients who have done the talk therapy for years and have mastered intellectualizing (e.g., “I know why I am feeling this way, and I know the coping skill that would be the healthiest, but something feels missing or the coping skill still does not stop me from feeling this way. Typically individuals dealing with complex trauma, attachment wounds, grief, or internalized shame will benefit from this modality. If you have been feeling disconnected from yourself for a while, want to heal parts that are holding onto past traumas, or you want to break free from repetitive patterns or behaviors that no longer serve you, IFS would likely be the best fit for you.

I also work with individuals who have been feeling paralyzed lately due to life transitions, identity, or existential issues. In the past, I have utilized Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients with anxiety, depression, chronic pains, or body-based repetitive behaviors overcome rigid thinking and avoidance behaviors. ACT aims to help individuals step out of the fight with their minds and toward what matters most to them, even when discomfort is present. If you want to learn how to let the discomfort share a seat with you at the table and move towards a life that is meaningful to you, let’s connect about ACT.

If you are looking into healing trauma through Brainspotting, please reach out via email or phone call to discuss the process.

Other modalities may be integrated as I continue to grow as a clinician and learn about you as a person.
